Project Spotlight: MPTC Ambulance Wrap

MPTC Ambulance

Vehicle Wrap: MPTC’s ambulance at the Fond du Lac Campus

Flyway Signs had another unique job this past week. We were out at Moraine Park Technical College in Fond du Lac, WI installing a vinyl wrap on the ambulance in their Emergency Medical Services Lab. This fully functional and stocked ambulance gives students hands-on training that can’t be found in a textbook.

The design was created by MPTC’s marketing team, then converted to a vehicle wrap by our graphic designer. The various doors, windows, lights and compartments were a unique challenge for printing and installing this wrap. Careful planning of the printed panels and close attention to detail in the installation resulted in a fantastic outcome!

Media used: 3M 1080-C wrap vinyl with gloss laminate

Here are some pictures of the process:

4 Reasons Why Churches Need Good Directional Signage

Today, we are featuring a fellow blogger who has made a very good point. It is all about the reasons a church should use directional signage, but we think that this is essential for any business out there.
In the blog, ArtRainer says the 4 reasons why you need good directional signage are:

  • It is inviting
  • It demonstrates hospitality
  • It reduces stress among guests
  • It helps volunteers

These are just a few of the great reasons for a business to have directional signage.
Not sure if you need directional signage? Try being a guest to your business; would you know where to go, not knowing what you know as the owner or employee?

We would like to thank ArtRainer for  explaining the importance of directional signage from an outside perspective.

Flyway’s Biggest Loser Competition

Fun Fact: Did you know that in 1918 and 1934, the $500 bill was released as a small-size Federal Reserve Note? It was nicknamed the “watermelon note” due to the design on the reverse.

What does that have to do with anything, you ask?

Well, the team at Flyway Signs & Lighting kicked 2014 off with three common goals and one friendly competition.

The goals:  Lose weight, become healthier and win $500

The competition:  The Biggest Loser: Flyway Edition

We based the challenge on the popular weight loss show, but decided to compete on an individual basis instead of in teams. The winner of the competition will be determined by the largest percentage of weight lost, and one hard-working individual will take away a grand prize of $500 in cash (unfortunately we can’t get our hands on one of those $500 bills, so it will most likely be awarded in singles).

Weekly $10 raffles, recipe sharing and encouragement are added bonuses to participants.

The 12-week weight loss challenge began in mid-January and will wrap up at the end of March. With only 6 weeks into the competition we have lost over 80 pounds as a group!

This endeavor is part of an effort to promote employee wellness. Leave us a comment and tell us how you and/or your company is promoting a healthy lifestyle!

website2

This change (a long time coming, might I add) will bring a more interactive and convenient experience to our customers. The biggest upgrades to the site will be the online store and design tool.  These new features will let our customers shop for products that are ready to ship, upload their own design or use the design tool to customize a wide variety of products such as banners, apparel, and electronic displays. Stay tuned for the new site’s launch in February, but in the meantime you can get a glimpse of the site we will soon part with by clicking here.

What resolutions are you fulfilling this year?
